What is this internship?
The ISPR Winter Internship Program is a short-term training opportunity organised by ISPR, aimed at university students (and recent graduates) in Pakistan. It gives you a chance to work alongside media, communications and strategic-PR professionals within the defence-media wing of the Pakistan Armed Forces. (voiceofgb.pk)
Why should university students do this internship?
Here are several strong reasons:
- Gain hands-on experience: Instead of only studying theory, you’ll see how media & communication work in a real-world environment (especially in a strategic context).
- Boost your CV: An internship with ISPR shows you took initiative, worked in a challenging environment, and learned practical skills — something future employers like.
- Learn communication & media skills: You might get involved in writing, video editing, social-media posts, strategic messaging — all useful in many careers.
- Networking: You’ll meet professionals, mentors, decision-makers. These connections could help you later in jobs or further study.
- Build confidence: Working outside your comfort zone, with deadlines and responsibility, helps you grow personally and professionally.
- Understand Pakistan’s defence-media interface: If you are interested in media, public relations, strategic studies or international relations, this is a unique niche.
- Better chances for future opportunities: An internship often opens doors — you might be invited for other projects, recommended, or simply have a stronger profile for jobs and postgraduate study.
